INGREDIENTSFor Making Papdi:

(1) 1 cup All Purpose Flour, (2) 1/2 cup Wheat Flour, (3) Salt To Taste, (4) 1/2tsp Nigella Seed (5) 1/3 Oil, (6) Water As Required.

For Toppings ( use according to your taste):

(1) Prepared Papdi, (2) Boiled Potatoes cut into small pieces, (3) Tomato cut into small pieces, (4) Onion finely chopped, (5) Finely chopped Green Chilli, (6) Chopped Coriander leaves, (7) Sweetened curd/ curd, (8) Chaat Masala, (9) Red Chilli Powder, (10) Roasted Cumin Powder, (11) Green Coriander Chutney, (12) Sweet Tamarind Chutney, (13) Sev.

Making Time Of PAPDI:

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 50 minutes

Step By Step Making Process Of Papdi:

(1) Take a bowl and add the all purpose flour, some salt to taste, nigella seed and mix the dry ingredients nicely. 

(2) Add the oil. crumble and mix well making sure to form a moist flour.

 (3) Knead the dough well adding water as required and knead a tight dough. rest it for 20 minutes.

(4) Now take a small portion of the dough and give it a round shape. Place it over a rolling board and roll it out into a large roti like shape using a rolling pin. Don't roll it too thin or  too thick.


 (5) Using a cookie cutter/ glass/bowl cut small round puri. Don't discard the extra part, knead it again and use it to make more papdi. Poke few holes in the circles using a fork to prevent the papdi from puffing up. 

(6) Heat some oil in a wok. deep fry the papdi in medium hot oil. Continue to fry on low to medium flame till they turn crispy and golden in colour. Drain off the excess oil and remove the papdi. Store it in an airtight container for a month to prepare PAPDI CHAAT whenever you want.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Assembling Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Step By Step Assembling Process of DAHI PAPDI CHAAT:

(1) Arrange the Papdi on a plate in a single layer. Add some boiled Potatoes, some tomatoes, some onions over the papdi. 

(2) Sprinkle some chaat masala, red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder.


(3) Add some curd over it. 

(4) Add the green coriander chutney and sweet tamarind chutney.

(5) Add some chopped green chilli. 

(6) Sprinkle some more chaat masala, red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder. 


(7) Lastly, add some coriander leaves and sev. 


Your lip-smacking DAHI PAPDI CHAAT is ready to serve.
