This CHICKEN CURRY is an Indian dish. Its pretty easy to make and tastes really good. Also a beginner can make it at home easily. It not only delicious but also very flavorful. Serve it with naan,roti and any kind of polao or plain basmati rice.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 600 gms chicken skinless, cleared and cut into medium size pieces.


For the marinade:

(1) 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder.
(2) 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. 

For the curry:

 (1) 1 teaspoon red chilli powder. (2) 1 teaspoon turmeric powder. (3) Cooking oil. (4) 4 medium sizes onions sliced. (5) 2 inch ginger cut into small pieces. (6) 6-7 garlic cloves. (7) 1 medium size tomato sliced. (8) 1 inch cinnamon piece. (9) 2-4 cloves pieces. (10) 2-3 cardamom pods. (11) 1 teaspoon coriander powder. (12) 1 teaspoon cumin powder. (13) 2 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder. (14) 2 teaspoon pav bhaji masala. (15) 2 teaspoon kasoari  methi. (16) 2 pieces of bay leaves and dry red chilli. (17) 1 teaspoon cumin seed. (18) Salt to taste.

Making time of CHICKEN CURRY:
Preparation time - 20 minutes.
Cooking time- 40 minutes.
Total times- 60 minutes.

Step by step cooking process of CHICKEN CURRY.

(1) Firstly, marinate the chicken with red chilli powder and turmeric powder and set aside while you prepare the spice paste and curry.


(2) Now heat a heavy bottom pan and add oil in it. When the oil turns hot add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed, 3 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon piece, 2 green cardamons and 1 dry red chilli.
 

(3) Then add the garlic cloves and ginger in the oil and fry it for some minutes.


 (4) After that add the sliced onion saute the onions till it became soft.


(5) Now add the sliced tomato and fry it for another minute.


(6) Then turn off the flame and transfer it to a plate and let it cool down.


(7) Now add the onions mixture into a blender and blend it to a fine paste.


(8) Again heat a pan and add some cooking oil and when the oil became hot add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed, 2 bay leaves and one dry red chilli.

 
(9) Now add the chicken in the pan and fry it for the 5 minutes.


(10) Then add the spices one by one. Add red chilli powder, Coriander powder, cumin powder, kashmiri red chilli powder and fry the chicken for another 5 minutes.


(11) Now add the onion paste and fry it.


(12) After frying for some minutes add mutton stock or any kind of stock. If you do not have mutton stock you can skip it add some water and then add slat to your taste.


(13) Now add the pav bhaji masala.


(14) Now cover it and let it cook for 15-20 minutes.


(15) Finally add some kasoori methi give it a stir and serve it with naan , roti, polao or plain basmoti rice.
